What You'll Need
  • 1 egg
  • All-purpose flour, for dusting
  • 1 pkg (17 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
  • 1/4 cup cherry jam
  • 1 cup toasted sliced almonds
What To Do
  1. CONDITION and PREHEAT Bella Rotating Waffle Maker.
  2. Beat egg with 1 tbsp water; set aside. On lightly floured work surface, cut out six 4-inch rounds from each piece of pastry to make 12 rounds, rerolling scraps if necessary.
  3. Divide jam and almonds in center of rounds. Brush outer edge of pastry with egg wash; bring edges together to create half-moon shape and enclose filling. Crimp edges with fork to seal pastry. Place in freezer for 5 to 10 minutes or until firm.
  4. Place 2 pies in center of lower cooking plate, about 2 inches apart. Close lid; turn the temperature control setting to HIGH (5) and bake for 5 minutes.
  5. When pies are cooked, the top cooking plate should lift easily. (Lift the plate gently; if it pulls, continue cooking for 1 minute and test again.) Repeat with remaining pies.
