Moroccan Onion Rings
Moroccan Onion Rings:
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp each ground cumin, coriander and paprika
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
1/4 tsp each ground cinnamon and garlic powder
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups panko bread crumbs
1 large white onion, sliced into 1/2-inch rings
Vegetable oil spray
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 tsp each ground cumin, coriander and paprika
Pinch ground cinnamon
- Preheat BELLA Air Convection Fryer to 350˚F
- Moroccan Onion Rings: In shallow plate, stir together flour, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, cinnamon and garlic powder. Place eggs in separate shallow plate and bread crumbs in another plate. Dredge onion rings in flour mixture, then dip in eggs and coat in bread crumbs.
- Place about half of the onion rings in basket of BELLA Air Convection Fryer and spray with vegetable oil. Air fry, shaking basket halfway through cooking time, for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining onion rings.
- Spiced Ketchup: Meanwhile, stir together ketchup, cumin, coriander, paprika and cinnamon. Serve with onion rings for dipping.
Tip: Add pinch of cayenne pepper to ketchup mixture for a spicy kick.
