Rye Toast with Smoked Salmon
What You'll Need
- 4 stalks fresh asparagus, blanched
- 4 slices thick rye bread
- 1 ounce smoked salmon
- 2 ounces Saint-Andre or other soft ripened cheese
- Freshly ground black pepper
What To Do
- With a vegetable peeler, peel the asparagus lengthwise.
- Lightly toast the bread.
- Spread each toast with cheese.
- Top with sliced smoked salmon and some of the asparagus.
- Sprinkle with black pepper.
