Stir Fried Beef with Black Bean, Ginger and Basil
1 tbs olive oil
½ lb lean sirloin or beef filet, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 inch knob of ginger, peeled and cut into matchsticks
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 stalks celery, leaves trimmed and thinly sliced on an angle
1 carrot, peeled and sliced into thin rounds
½ head broccoli, cut into florets
1 tsp corn starch (optional)
¼ cup fermented black bean garlic sauce
2 green onions, finely sliced
1 cup fresh basil leaves
2 cups steamed rice
1. Heat olive oil in BELLA Copper Coated Electric Skillet. Combine beef, garlic and ginger. Stir fry until meat is well browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2. Stir fry onion, celery and carrot for a minute before adding in the broccoli and ½ cup of water. Cover with lid and steam
for 2- 3 minutes.
3. Combine corn starch with black bean sauce in a small bowl. Return meat to the skillet, add sauce mixture and stir until mixture boils and thickens.
4. Serve with steamed rice, topped with green onions and fresh basil.
