What You'll Need
  • Toasted Oats:
  • 1 1/4 cups coconut oil
  • 1 1/3 cups large-flake oats
  • 1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar, divided
  • Crumble:
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 12 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch ground cloves
  • 4 cups dairy-free vanilla ice cream
What To Do
  1. PREHEAT Bella Grey Ceramic Skillet to 300˚F.
  2. In skillet, melt coconut oil; reserve 1/4 cup and set aside. Combine oats, 2/3 cup brown sugar, flour and salt; toast oat mixture in heated coconut oil in skillet for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Transfer to plate; set aside.
  3. Wipe down skillet; add reserved coconut oil to skillet. Cook apples for 5 to 8 minutes or until slightly softened. Stir in remaining brown sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; cook for about 5 minutes or until sugar has dissolved.
  4. Sprinkle entire toasted oat mixture evenly over apples; cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until apples are tender, filling is bubbling and topping is golden brown. Serve with scoop of ice cream.

Tip: Add 1 cup blueberries just before adding topping for apple blueberry crumble.

Alternatively, top with dairy-free whipped dessert topping or coconut yogurt.
